    I am having weird downclocking issues that only seem to happen in relation to age of conan. Normally everything would run fine but after a patch today my gpu temp will not go over 67c while in this game when it used to run at 70-71c max always. I have lower fps/performance though so my card has to be downclocking, but I don't know if it's the drivers fault or aoc's. Do any of you think I should try different drivers such as the 174.90 from sager or maybe just wait and see if it's conan's fault, that it may work itself out soon?

    Try running rivatuner as Nirvana says, then pop up its monitoring tool and start up AoC. After that please give a readout/screenshot of the clock graphs :)

    I had same problems with EQ2 until I reformatted (needed a total cleanup ;)), it did some wird downclocking, DC-spikes, where it would suddenly drop to 383/767/301 mhz clocks for a sec or two and then pop back up to full speed. Tho it was the only game doing so, everyone else ran full speed. But the clean install did the trick, no more DC-"spikes" :)

    Im running the 175.75 from lv2g btw, which I also ran before reformat.

    it seems to have worked itself out but I'm not 100% sure yet. The fps was a lot better and consistent after awhile and the max temp had reached 72 which is normal for me. I'll just keep an eye on it for awhile and if it keeps continuing I may try different drivers

    I actually just installed these drivers. I believe they did downclock but I followed these directions and now they go up to max speed during games.

    It seems the card is at lower clocks unless a game is played.
    I think it was at 100/200 during web use, but while on crysis, it went back to max. Afterwards, it went back down.

    Ok this line was while aoc was running, I did not tab out until the end of it to pause. The first screen is what seems like normal clock, the second shows one of the repeated drops where it seems to be lowering to desktop clock. Also the temperature for the entire stretch never breached 60c which again is too low, so unless I am looking at this wrong it's definitely downclocking on me. The messed up frame rate that I now get in game should be enough proof for me anyway, and the fact that the temperature is lower than usual and the fans are not running like they should be. It isn't a constant downclock though as you can see, and that reflects in game because there are just repeated moments of bad frame followed by normal frame rate again.

    Heres an idea... get rid of that trash game and find something else.

    AoC = throwup.

    ok so I got fed up and uninstalled 175.70, I am using 175.75 now and my frame rate seems to be much better. I don't have the same dropping or stuttering effect from before and my frame rate is more constant and high now like it was originally, so I will see how these work out over the next few days

    why are you even using modified drivers? why not stick with sager's since they are not as buggy?
