Is there any reson why my bus speed is only 133 mhz ???

Is there any reason why my ram frequency is only 600 to 400 ???

    I thought this is DDR3 1,066 mhz ???

    1. the 133mhz bus speed has a 20x multiplier
    2. DDR: double data rate, 533 mhz = 1066 mhz
    3. Yep, MXM 3.0 to boot

    Nice system... :D

Oh and download nvidia 185.85 drivers right now

It's the socket type for the GPU. It doesn't say it anywhere, but I can tell it's MXM 3.0 because the memory is 950 (instead of 800). Means you can upgrade it in the future.

I've seen two reasons given, 1 is the solution for SLI with MXM3.0 hasn't been provided yet by NVidia. The other is there's no more space since the i7 uses 3 RAM slot.

It's an official driver, straight from Nvidia. Download it here.
It's more about the power consumption of the i7 processor.

The Alienware is MXM3.0 with SLI, btw.

So I took this notebook because I am able to upgrade the GPU ... against the alienware m17x ...

so say for the next 2 years nvidia releases newer cards for the mxm 3.0 slot ...

would you say that in my next gpu upgrade I am possibly on par with the m17x sli ... gpu wise ???

If you are asking whether it will be on par performance wise, sure. A single gtx 2xxm vs SLI gtx280m, if the newer card is more powerful than gtx280m. But there is a lot more into the gpu upgrade in a notebook. I wouldn't count on it unless the motherboard manufacturer says it can take that gpu (slot mxm3.0 or not).
