In this link, all are 15.4" laptops but the first two are 5.6lbs and the rest 6.6lbs - that seems like a huge difference?
-
Yeah it makes sense. Different components are heavier, the actual frame and chasis will be different weights, and so forth. Depends on what thet're made out of (plastic, metal alloy, w/e). Can add up.
-
"Yes, the first two laptops are a pound lighter than the rest".
Is that what you're looking for? -
shoelace_510 8700M GT inside... ^-^;
It's mainly the hardware and chassis. Specifically the GPU differences and case compound differences...
-
Theyre different lappys.
Of course there going to be different weights.
Do you expect all 5 foot 8 peoples to be the same weight? -
Umm Vedya - yeah, thanks for the immensely helpful reply.
According to your analogy - all 5 foot 8 people would weigh exactly two different weights - seems ridiculous.
I should have been clearer in my question - the main difference between the lappys (besides manufacturer) seem to be resolution. Can the resolution alone make such a difference.
Additional question - any place where they Sager NP 6680 gets a 1680 x 1050 -
some have 8cell batteries, other have 9cells, perhaps some have only 6cell. why does it matter? as technology progresses, things get eisier to pack in and things get lighter or vica versa.

You expect all 5 foot 8 people to weight the same???????
All those laptops you gave were different, although the same screen size. Well no duh, they have different weights, each has different hardware and chassis etc.
I dont know why it is a hard concept to grasp........
Does this make sense - weight is all over the place
