Does this sound like a good fix?

So the keyboard design on the NP8660 / M860TU is horrible as most users know. Its held down by 4 prongs along the top of the keyboard surface but these prongs like to pop in (i.e. when you need to remove it) and not pop out again so my keyboard pops out when I don't want it to.

Has anyone found a solution to this?

If I were to take double sided electrical tape and put it under the keyboard to hold it down...would this be a bad idea in any way?

electrical tape isnt for high heat, it will totally deteriorate. also i'd doubt its stick enough.

I've never had this problem and i've replaced my keyboard more than a few times. are you sure you are pushing down on it enough?

my "prongs" make a clicking noise. I did used to think there was an issue but i started pushing down harder until it clicked.
