I guess yes? It's advertised. It has all the ports. But can anyone tell me how those port should connect since they aren't color coded? With the realtek software, it seems that mic-in and center/sub are the same port? That means I can't use the mic on my headset while connected to 5.1 surround. It's strange. I would not want to get an external 5.1 sound card.. I have enough external hardware around me.

    Well.

There are probably small logos next to the jacks which aren't color coded.

    BUT

If you are right about the combination mic jack... You could just get a USB headset instead... Or, a simple full duplex USB soundcard to use your current one would work too.

About the drivers: If you are using the generic Realtek ones, not the Clevo ones, that should change. On the m980nu the generic drivers would mess up even the 5.1 on the built in speakers, left became sub etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't 5.1 surround only 2 stereo jacks and only 4 channels? Then there is a separate process for the sub... Not sure.

5.1 is three ports. One for front(L/R), one for rear(L/R) and one for center/sub.

The thing is I have the Roccat Kave with real 5.1 connection. There is a mic on the headset. So I have 4 ports: front, rear, center/sub and mic. I would not want another USB mic.. I already have an audio interface and a recording mic.

About the driver.. I'll download the one from Sager and see if it's any different. I doubt it though.
