Hi guys,
I own the Sager NP8662. I'm trying to learn how to DJ through Traktor Pro. I'd like to output part of my sound through an external speaker, and the other part of my sound through my headphones. Both the speaker and the headphones use the audio jack found on the front of the laptop. I'm not quite sure what the other jacks do, I think one is for a microphone so that is of no use to me. Does anyone know if it is possible to plug these two devices into my laptop so that they are having different sounds come out? I was thinking of using a headphone splitter but then I realized that the same sound would come out of both ends of the splitter.![]()
Thanks for your help!

The last jack, the one to the right, is a SPDIF digital coax output. I don`t think you can use the left jack and the right jack at the same time.

An external sound card would do the trick I believe. A quick search of newegg turned up this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829128004. It's cheap and has positive reviews, but with a little effort I wouldn't be surprised if you found something better.

Wouldn't an output splitter work in this situation?
Double headphone splitter

Headphone/Speaker splitter

He wants to output two separate audio sources simultaneously. I'm no expert on DJing but I assume that he wants to output a preview track to his headphones while the speakers follow behind after he mixes it, at least that's how I think it works. A splitter would just output the same thing on both the headphones and the speakers.

The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
I once had a USB sound card which did the job!
