After updating my graphics drivers to Clevo's official 176.75 my gaming graphics score in the windows experience index fell from 5.8 to 5.5. I have since tried Nvidia's 179.28 beta drivers and experienced the same low performance as 176.65 i.e low gaming graphics to 5.5, low fps and 3Dmark06 below 6000. I have now re-installed the stock 167.43 drivers and my scores have gone back up with 3dMark 06 at around 9189 and gaming graphics back to 5.8. with good fps.

It's a real shame if I'm unable to update my drivers without this dramatic downclocking... hopefully someone knows how I can resolve this problem.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

My BIOS Version is 1.00.07 but I'm not sure how to find what kbc version I'm running.

    Thanks

I believe that bios version .08 fixed the downclocking issue.

Update the kbc/ec and bios, in that order and you should be fine.

Thanks! I could give them a go apart from the fact I have blu-ray which is incompatible with customised drivers.

@theriko - would it be alright to bypass version .08 and update to the latest EC version .11 and Bios version .10

    Thanks

yeah, as long as you update the ec version first, you can skip as many versions as you like
