I installed 178.13 with LPV2G's INF and it showed my 9800M GT as "NVidia G92-600"... if I install it with youre INF, will it be showed correctly as 9800M GT in windows or youre INF will show it as G92-600 too?

Another thing, when I changed to 178.13 (With LPV2G INF) from 176.02, my GPU runned 3-4C hotter...is that normal?

your 9800MGT willbe shown as 9800MGT with my inf.
Its pretty much a reflashed 8800MGTX to 9800MGT which alot of people seem to be getting when they buy a 9800MGT.

updated drivers can increase temps/ or lower them.

so i tried these drivers and they seem to work pretty well. One problem i have come across is when not gaming. The problem is some kind of lag when scrolling websites in mozilla firefox. Now i have tested it with the 175.95 drivers and i do not get this issue. If i scroll really fast, up and down, then watch gpu-z, the clock will go from 200/100 to 275/300 and the problem will be fixed.

This is a very strange issue that i have never come across before. Hmm....

remember these were originally desktop drivers....
    issues will be present,
however i'll try to find if one of my settings is causing this and get it fixed next release

    Works great so far.

It's the only driver which gives me 5.9 in 3D gaming and business in the Vista score thingie, and believe me I tried drivers...

I tried youre INF under XP with 178.13 and 178.15. Both times I had 1 problem: after I exited a program (3DMark06 or a game) the resolution on the desktop was set to 640x480. Any idea why do I have this problem? (I don't have this problem with the INF given by Laptopvideo2go).

I kept getting errors when trying to install these drivers until I got the 'International' version of the drivers nvidia.co.uk as opposed to nvidia.com. Just in case anyone is having problems with the 'The system cannot find the file specified' error.

If you have vista 32 bit, you'll need the 32bit drivers, not the 64bit ones.

go to www.laptopvideo2go.com for any driver/modded inf resources

right okay i have 178.13 and have put the .NIF inside the driver folder
    what do i do now?

is in required to go through safe mode and use some cleaner app to make sure its cleared or can i just uninstall the current driver, restart and click setup the new drivers folder?

will this affect anything like Media Centre or anything?

I really would recommend using driver sweeper in safe mode in between uninstalling the old driver and installing the new one.

Just run it, selevt nvidia - display, analyze then clean, the restart (into normal mode) and install the new driver

If you're reinstalling windows, you do not need to use driver sweeper. Make sure you format the hard drive fully during the reinstall though

I was using the 180.43 version and got a 3DMark score of 9283-9420 (No cpu or gpu oc, also I force Vsync and TB).

After a few tests with your drivers I'm pushing 10265-10428 (Same settings as above, and no physx added).

Nice work!!! Gaming performance is very smooth. I'm tempted to OC a bit to try to get the insane numbers others have gotten with the NP5796, but I'm afraid to test Murphy's Law.

If your downloading just an INF file it should be under 200 KB.
Otherwise a full driver, even stripped down (english only, ect) should be probably at least 10 MB these days.
Dox has packed some of his INFs with stripped down drivers though.

If your downloading a full driver, the built in unpacker should throw a warning and not work if you don't download it fully. (it may not even load the unpacker at all)
Dox uses 7z zip to package drivers just like at laptopvideo2go.

I'm really quite curious about these drivers. I tried talking to someone from xoticpc, used the online tech support, but I was quite disappointed by 'Justin W.' as he called himself at the start of the chat, said he didn't know anything about graphics cards. Quite strange, as the last time I used that tech support the same 'Justin W.' did know quite a bit, in fact seemed a lot more like the chap who goes by that name who frequents this forum.

Rants aside, what kind of difference would I see to gaming and video renders using these drivers? I do a lot of editing digi beta footage, but I do my fair share of gaming. I'm currently using the stock drivers that came with the laptop in the drivers and utilities CD from Sager, the forceware version's 176.25.

So I guess that means these are more gaming oriented than video rendering.

Also, do I want the cracked laptopvideo2go ones? I don't think the 180.70 can natively install on my laptop.

Dox drivers don`t require an inf. You just choose the install mode -balanced/performance and that`s it...

Although DOX Drivers are geared and excellent towards gaming. The drivers you have posted here give a much better boost in overall system utilization. Gamers can use DOX drivers but if you are anything else, better to go with the Nvidia officials.
