I wonder why they can do it and others can't.

How "long term" are we talking though. Clevo didn't exactly say what the temperatures were like inside the case. If it can run Orthos for 12 hours, and it'll last me for (let's say) two years, I don't care if the components fry after that.

I've assembled a list of parts for a computer I might put together after July 22. I'd rather get a quad-core notebook though, for portability reasons. Don't disappoint me when the G0 stepping comes out ;)

Curious how they're featuring technology that doesn't even exist. Clevo has done tests with quad cores and they practically melted the computers due to the power requirements and the heat generated.

I think they're doing wishful thinking in the future, it'll be curious how they're gonna deliver when people expect their laptops.

Where did you read (or hear) that? I want more specifics than I have heard from Clevo. :)

People keep pointing me to the official statement like I haven't read it... My point is that I want to know how bad it really is. I don't expect this thing to last me forever anyway. I've been running a notebook with a CPU constantly between 70 and 75 degrees Celsius, and I imagine this notebook is built much better. I'd be willing to settle for a shorter warranty if need be.
