So I am getting my new laptop this week and I realize that I am going to need to update all of the drivers (too bad Sager doesn't do this), and I am curious about the order of installation and how to most effectively find the drivers needed for things that don't autodetect. I have found this over at Sager's website and it seems fairly up to date. I have also reviewed the driver thread, but it seems very outdated and looks like the sager page covers it already. For reference I have the NP7358 with the 2gb 860m. I know I can download Nvidia's software and get drivers from it, but for everything else I am still lost about as I have never really had to deal with drivers all that much.

    Edit: Windows 8.1 64-bit

are you getting the lappy with operating already installed. if yes then its ready out of the box as it will have been tested and burnt in using the most reliable drivers for your model.

if not it will still have been tested in the same way but then the operating system removed.
then your link above from sager is the right one. but they do have to be installed in the correct order.
normally you get a drivers disc (not sure if its the same without OS pre installed) with the loading software installed and it shows which order to load them. if you dont have a disc then download the user manual as the order of loading will be in that pdf.
it used to always be included on the sager drivers page you linked too but its not there for your model.

download it from clevo > 藍天Clevo

Oh, I had read that they didn't update all of the drivers. I did pay for the OS via Xotic so maybe I won't have to deal with it. I was just trying to cover my bases. Hopefully it will come with drivers pre-installed.

you should be good to go out of the box then.
its only when people opt for no operating system that they have to go through installing everything in a certain order.

worst bit is the wait for the delivery truck to turn up outside your house.

when you get it theres lots of free software to monitor everything in my link below.

    enjoy.

As mentioned all the drivers will be installed since you got the OS. The only thing you may want to check is the Nvidia Drivers for any updated versions.

To clarify: some drivers (such as said NVidia ones) will be outdated, but all of your drivers will be installed from assembly and the laptop will still be good to go out of the box. You can update the NVidia drivers and Intel ones, where applicable, from their respective producers. :)
