    Hi,

Question on the drivers disc that is provided for Sager 8130. what drivers are included?? What OS? 32 or 64bit? Winxp, win7? how about drivers for unix/linux based distro's?

does the drivers disc differ depending on what reseller I choose to purchase from?

I believe only MYTHLOGIC will support Linux distros.

As far as Windows, all resellers provide 64-bit versions of Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate). You can also order without an OS. All machines are shipped with a drivers disc that will get everything up and running, although it's generally advised to get your video card drivers directly from Nvidia or AMD.

I did notice that my drivers disc had older versions of various drivers (between 3-6 months old), so I downloaded the newer ones accordingly.

They'll be 64 bit Windows 7/Vista only. XP generally has limited to no support for a lot of the hardware in new machines (most importantly, graphics on some of the higher end cards). The drivers should be included for all the major components of the machine, plus those for optional components.

Linux drivers are generally detected automatically at install or through package manager.

Your reseller may offer newer versions of drivers online than the disk has (and as irfrausto said, Nvidia and AMD will definitely have newer video drivers).
