Hi, I have a slightly complicated issue, I bought sager Np6370 from US, my friend got it for me and I am in India now, I dropped the laptop by mistake and there is no display now, when I switch it on the power light and the vga button comes on but nothing else happens and after a standard time of around 30 secs the gpu fan spins with a little bit of sound (not more than normal I can just feel the air come out in the gpu fan vent) and then it shuts down, no service in India, I am wondering what to do, is there any diagnosis steps for sager to find out what went wrong, my laptop is only a month old, still under warranty, worst case if I send back to them will they replace parts?

Depends on if your reseller covers accidental damages or not.. contact them first to see what they recommend. May need to pop open the back and make sure everything is still seated correctly.

Disconnect PSU, take the battery out, then:
1. Try a CMOS rest as mentioned here in step 1, then try to boot.
2. Remove the HDDs/SSDs and try to boot.
3. If that doesn't work, open the bottom panels and take every single component out and re-fit it after inspection.
Where are you in India? You should get it fixed there!
EDIT:
Someone will have to take it carry-on both ways...
If you ship it to the States and back it will be:
- 2 way shipping charges
- repair charges
- export duty
- again import duty
- plus the usual bribes to get it out of customs before 2014
- mostly customs or courier will steel it anyway
EDIT 2:
Here the dissassembly guide!
EDIT 3: Sorry put the wrong guide, now it's the proper one.
GOOD LUCK! -

At least in the UK, once something has been imported it is exempt from further duty. A receipt of payment of details of the repair should be enough to prove it.

As others have pointed out your best immediate option is to try to assess the damage yourself by taking it apart and inspecting the parts/connections. If you are uncomfortable with this or run into problems there has got to be someone in India that could at least take a look at the laptop, but getting the parts you will need is a different story. Before you make your decision you should contact your reseller and get their input/advise and also find a good customs lawyer (or at least someone familiar with the system) and speak to him/her about your options. If you manage to get it rebooted into windows you could try hooking it up to an external monitor and hitting Fn+F7 I believe. That way you could back up your data and even bide some time while you wait for parts maybe. What a real bummer man, I hope you manage to resolve this quickly and without issues. Good luck to you!
