Has anyone ordered dual 7970ms with the 120hz monitor upgrade?

If so can you select 120hz on your windows screen or any games that you play?

I've tried many options. In CCC I see that the max refresh rate capable for the screen is in fact 120hz, however I'm unable to select it anywhere.

Its funny how bad sager tech support is. I just rather not deal with this anymore and go with something else or build myself a desktop which would run me alot cheaper.

looking in list of all modes for adapter type from 7970m I see that there are no modes for 120hz what so ever.

Maybe its just an AMD thing but sager should have known about this and either fixed it or took out the option if they were not compatible with each other.

You have to go into Intel HD Graphics Properties, and then to create custom resolution to get it work. I have an Asus VG23AH display that is capable of up to 79Hz and it ran at 60Hz until I created a profile and a custom resolution for it. I have it running at 72Hz right now, and it makes a big difference in most games. In the custom resolution options it will allow you to enter your width, height, refresh rate, and color depth manually. You should only have to do this once and it will recognize the monitor(s) when you connect them and apply the settings. You can also download Powerstrip and create a custom monitor driver too, but I didn't need to do this for mine, although I did download the program just in case. Hope this helps...

I can't do that cause p370em uses discreet graphics, there's no intel graphics properties to select.

I have to be honest, It's rather hard to troubleshoot this without any screenies. How does your desktop management in CCC look like? You could also try CRU (custom resolution utility - a handy little tool (google it)).

Here's my CCC: (Note: I have a 60Hz panel that can go at least up to 90Hz if I want it to)

wanted to recommend the same as M3ezu :) u could use CRU and simply "overclock" ur lcd refresh rate to its specified 120hz. maybe even get a nice real oc out of it (150+ hz, anyone? :p)

:D haha, I actually googled a bit about the issue and the OP isn't alone with his laptop in this. There are desktops suffering from the same issue regardless of the GPU maker. CRU is probably one of the easiest way to fix it..

Basically Mode 1920x1080 @ 60hz no other options available.
I tried CRU and im not entirely sure how to work it. If i did it correctly it didn't work either for me lol.
Sometimes I still randomly get blue screens with atixx something file.
I received this laptop last thursday and have just too many issues than I would have liked with the time given.
I submitted an return on the laptop earlier in the middle of the night and I think I'm just going to wait for the 780m's and roll sli in those instead.

For CRU, just choose a 60hz mode it is showing -> press copy -> press paste. Choose the copied profile, choose edit. Go to refresh rate -> type in 120hz. Apply. You should be done now and should see the 120hz option in CCC.

Just on aside note. For the non 3D model to be 120Hz compatible you will need minimum BIOS 1.02.08...links in my sig, just in case. :)

Just make sure to keep a second profile with 60hz.
