Great information, thanks for posting. I'm wondering if there is going to be an ATI graphics card option in the future . .

Only a matter of time before Sager picks it up and it hits the states.

OMG!!!!! I want that now! Just wondering but why does Sager release dual-core 5720 in Germany first? I thought it was based in the USA?

it is.. Sager is a US company that rebrands Clevo notebooks. This is basically a German version of Sager doing the samething. most people know the Sager labels better than the Clevo names, so they tend to say Sager xxxx instead of Clevo xxxx for convenience sakes.

Has anyone w/ "real" contacts at SagerUS (Chaz???) had a conversation w/ them on what the roadmap for product announcements looks like??? What the pipeline of machines from Clevo that will become Sager's is currently all about???

I am one of the unlucky Sony GRX (w/ the dimm socket solder problem -- see Sony forum -- in addition to being on both my 3rd HDD and LCD in 3.5 yrs) owners and my machine is on verge of dying "real soon now" as stopgap measures for memory socket problem have mostly stopped working (am now, as of yesterday's machine freeze, actually using a wedged-in tongue depressor inside memory compartment to hold dimm socket against motherboard) -- need to buy new machine ASAP and because most of my work is SW / HW / Network design and simulation I need both the WUXGA (my 16" Sony has UXGA and I will not downgrade, it IS a wonderful display though) and horsepower of the Core Duo.

I have been eyeing a buffed-out 5720 for quite a while now and really want one but w/ the Dell e1705 coupon expiring tomorrow I have an immediate need to make a decision.

TIA for any help, rumors, real info, etc........
