PCMW will build a dual boot system for you, but most other resellers will not set this up? Curious why? I would like to purchase from Xotic or PNB, but neither offer this as an option.

I would like to go with Vista Ultimate 64 bit and 32 bit in dual boot conf. I have no experience with 64 systems, but I want to learn. I'm thinking that the dual boot (64 and 32 Vista Ultimate) would allow me to try out the 64 with the 32 as a safety net if I messed something up.

Xotic and PNB include both the 32 and 64 bit disks, so you could just install the other one yourself.

Ok I had to edit my original post, once I realized what I was saying.
I think it's a license issue. With the retail version, yes, the key you get will work for both 32-bit and 64-bit, but technically you can use only one version at a time.
You can buy two OEM copies, x86 and x64. It will be more expensive, but you can successfully run dual boot with both versions, that's no problem, and it's really easy to setup.
If you need help, there's plenty of guides on google.

It is a license issue. To dual boot with either Vista and XP, or both 64bit and 32bit Vista, you need two licenses.

The problem is under Microsoft OEM licensing, you can only sell one license per laptop.

Therefore your only choices are to buy your own 2nd license, or deal with a rogue vendor that doesn't mind violating copyright law and making you an accomplice in doing so.

I am willing to pay for both versions. I want to set up the 9262 with RAID 1 with two 360 Mb HD. To set up the second OS, is it as straight-forward as just partioning off a second partition of ZZ MB and installing the other OS?

My guess is PCMW charges 1 OEM Vista disk and a retail Vista.

Donald, i just gotta say that ive been reading just about EVERY post, actually i would argue that i have seen them all on anything relating to the new clevo line coming out, the associated posts on PCMW and the parts that are going to be found in it etc. Anyways, i have to say that i truely respect your willingness to speak the hard truth in the face of all the anger that other people creat towards you when you do it. I just wanted to thank you for continuing to keep us informed, and also wanted to tell all these other people who keep assulting you everytime you repeat yourself about previous problems and tell the truth to lay off. If his comments anger you so much, just take them worth a grain of salt and dont bother create another argument. In my opinion, the more times he posts that information, the higher likelyhood a person just browsing the forums will read it, and learn from it.
