    On the 24th of December, I ordered the 570RU (8700M version) from RJTech. Is there an easy way to find out if I have the motherboard version that is compatable with the 8800M??

    If I had only waited another 3 weeks, I wouldn't have to worry.......

    The motherboard revision should be stamped on the motherboard somewhere near the RAM modules (it will say v 4.x, v5.x, etc...).

    Thanks!! I have done a few searches, but I can't find out which versions are compatable... (It seems that the Clevo 901C has to be v6 or later, but I don't know if that translates to the 570RU)

    Wasn't it version 4.x or higher for the m570ru? The v5.x revision of the motherboard is for the extreme overclocking capability isn't it?

    @ralphfx:

    Good catch! I was looking at the wrong upgrade notice from Sager, so I confirmed with Sager that v4.3 and higher will support the 8800M GTX.

    V5.x is the NP5793, like you said.
