    Dumd question about foil tape

    I have P870DM but i lose my tape cover my GPU so what tape i can use for cover it guys? Could you guys provide me link of production please thank you very much :D, and i have plan to use foil tape for cover the heatsink is it possible?

    Do you mean the foil attached to the bottom case lid? It's not required. Many people including me have cut it completely off from where it covers the mesh to improve airflow. Especially if you sit your laptop on a cooler pad.

    Ah no i mean the tape cover GPU prosessor unit, last time a attach the thermal paste i removed it so now i want to find another for replace but i dont know what type of tape for it :(

    Around the die should be electrically non conductive material. Look high temperature electrical tape. Don't use foil tape! If you're using non conductive thermal paste then it is not needed but makes cleanup easier.

    No problem, the machine will run without that tape, it's mostly an insurance thing to be 100% sure the heatsink will never touch those parts.

    Ah i know just make sure my GPU safe from thermal patse and i want to mod heatsink with foil tape for extra airflow from fan :D

    If you are not using a electrically conductive/capacitive thermal paste (most are not, let us know what you are using if you are not sure) you don't need to worry about it touching those parts.

    Iam going to buy IC Diamond 24 Carat so i think this product not have electrically conductive :/ not sure but i read cmt on amazon

    Yes, IC diamond is totally safe in that sense, just be carful not to press too firmly when wiping it off the core to avoid the diamond molecules scratching the core. They are just cosmetic but some people get weirded out by it.

    Do you mean when remove the old thermal patse i should clear it off easy dont use much strengh right?
