I was wondering, realistically how many years would I get out of the clevo W230SS. I would be using it as my primary computer through university, so while it will always be in a sleeve when in transport, I will be taking it to all my classes daily, so it is bound to get a little bumped.

It will be as durable as any other notebook. If you take care of it properly it should last for years. But with any electronics its hard to predict if a particular part will go bad early.

Most Clevo/Sagers have very high build quality. I've been taking mine in and out of my bag for several months, and there's not a scratch on my computer. :) (I don't even use a sleeve)

I personally have a W230SS from Metabox and I can say that the build quality is quite nice. I have been taking it with me whenever I travel. The one complaint I would have is that sometimes it doesnt pickup the space bar, though its so rare that it doesnt really matter.

As for how long the notebook would last, I wouldnt be able to say. However if your going to be carrying it around uni bare it might not help cosmetically ;) Purely from a hardware and quality standpoint, it would last around 5 years at least for me.
