Watch Eurocom issue a public apology. A troll named bhattsan hackined into their site and destroyed their database, replacing it with a Rick Roll video.

    ... ... ... ...

Oh what? That's not the Eurocom site? Oh.

Spec sheet is correct from what I got:

    http://www.eurocom.com/products/future/specselectfuture.cfm?model_id=196

    Product Dimensions WxDxH (mm)
    364 x 269.5 x 29-41mm / 14.6 x 10.8 x 1.2-1.6inch

    Product Weight (kg)
    3.2kg/7lbs (with battery)

    Chipset: (Montevina platform)
    Intel Cantiga PM45+ ICH9M

    Memory:
    DDR3-800/1066; PC-8500/10060; 204pin; SODIMM

    MAN THIS IS SO SWEET!

i'm totally gonna return the 1530 I purchased for this rig!

But...isn't this comparable to the now newly priced M15X by alienware? base it's only 1499 + 500 (8600gt) = 2000 ( same price as this rig)

So what makes this platform/unit better?

By CS, do you mean counter-strike? Even if you mean source, you could easily max that out with an 8600mGT, you know.

Also, are you joking? (don't mean to start a fight, just catch sarcasm on the Internet)

Can you get this without an operating system or do you have to select 1 of the options? because I get get windows vista ultimate 64bit from school for $5 and that would save some serious $$

hummmm....... so looks like Montevina supports all current cpus....

its very possible that intel will let Clevo release a Montevina laptop with current CPus before they officially start the new platform along with its new cpus...

the actual specs in the M860TU is all pritty old hardware but.... i regret not ordering a 17inch with the same stuff months ago..

    sigh

it could still be 6-12 months before we see a card topping the 8800m GTX and a Quadcore mobile that is actually worth it <_> .. first one is 2.2 or some such

It's better for doing what it's designed for, which isn't gaming.

I'm sending emails back and forth with a CSR from Eurocom and getting a decent amount of information with this laptop, the quadro is an OpenGL card designed for AutoCAD and rendering (models, architecture, etc), if you are going to game, be careful, gaming is horrible with this card. However, the GTX to me is still a steal of a deal as it does both great in my opinion.

Gaming is not "horrible". Its about equalivelnt to a 8700. Workstation cards generally cost more than Geforce COnsumer cards, even for desktops.

Gaming is not horrible on quadros. You just need to force them into their geforce counterparts. They`re basically the same card, the quadros being more versatile and more adapted for CAD and OpenGl rendering. Stop saying quadros aren`t good. A guy with the FX570m got over 6k in 3dmarks.(1280x1024). More than I can get.

In addition we prefer not to provide the public with unrealistic arrival dates and will release it once we have a firm ETA. :)
