I was wondering if there's any tool out there to edit some values in the bios/EC of clevo machines related to fan profiles ? I own a P150EM myself, but unlike the sager versions I don't have a "max fan" option. For the cpu this is not a problem, the cpu fan keeps my cpu around 80°C max on full load, but the gpu is a problem for me... The high fan setting only kicks in at 93°C ! I'm just having bad luck that I have a hot running 7970M (one of the first batches) even with ICD paste. I've tried everything to cool the GPU down but with no effect.. i cut out the backplate where the fan is, added washers to improve pressure on heatsink, sealed all air gaps with electrical tape, tried to repaste several times just to make sure it was done right, bought a notepal U2 etc..

I'm running the latest available clevo bios/ec btw. I would just like for the high setting to at least kick in at 85°C, so that it doesn't go a lot above that...

You can flash Prema's modded BIOS and enjoy the "max fan" option plus other optimizations. Latest revision of Prema's BIOS also has more aggressive fan profile, which results in much better temps under load (in my P170EM the difference is 10C).

Nope, I just made enough changes that MS thinks that it is another motherboard, that sometimes even happens when updating to a newer stock BIOS, they really need to improve on that...

Almost identical boards and not enough changes between the versions you flashed. I usually change "A LOT" ;)

what!? so the "stock" fn+1 still isnt 100% rpm!? so your bios mod make it reach 100%!?

As far as I know fn+1 is already 100%, this bios is for people like me that have a clevo 150/170 and not a sager so we don't have fn+1 at all, we can't change the fan speed.
