Thank you! I guess they should be fine in any case.
Probably we should go for it. In any case, we're thinking about ordering only one and test it for a month to see if it suits our needs. We're still not sure if going for Windows or linux though.
I guess all the Clevo utilities, etc., work better with windows . Is there any important feature of the laptop that wouldn't work with linux? Like the keyboard backlight, drivers or similar. Has anybody test the battery life in Linux compared with Windows doing the same tasks?

    Thank you again!

N131 series is my development laptop (Linux).
Been using since the first gen, not a single problem, everything works fine in Linux.
You can control the keyboard lights with the FN shortcuts, works perfect!

On my new N130WU there is Flexicharger option in BIOS but quite frankly I have no idea what it does.

Thank you! That's good to hear!

It supposed to allow you to control when you want to start/stop charging the battery. For example, even if you have it connected to the power supply, it can stop charging when it reaches 80%, so it would improve the battery lifespan. You can read an explanation about this here. The only thing is that I don't know if it stops charging the battery and then using the power from the power supply or if it uses the battery... In the last case, I'd have it as to stop charging at 70% and charging at 69%. According to the article, the shallower the depth of discharge the better.

    Thanks for the information!

To confirm, this laptop model does indeed have a flexicharge option in the BIOS. If you run it enabled, it's recommended to disable this every 3-4 months and then do a complete discharge and recharge in order to maintain accurate battery charge metering i.e. so the battery % report in Windows is accurate.

As explained above, it is to stop microcharging which has a detrimental effect on the battery. The maximum level you set it to really depends on how much you use it on battery. For example, you don't want to be caught out with 70% charge if you are travelling with it.

Like javigh explained, it's essentially a manual battery management option. It prevents microcharging and extends battery longevity.

EDIT: Also what XMG said (beat me to the follow up)

This laptop looks very interesting for me, but I have few questions :)

    1) I see two display options(FHD and QHD+), but I can't find any detailed reviews with info about sRGB coverage and PWM, both of them very important for me.
QHD+ is not too much for 13"?
How will 1080p youtube video looks on it? Softer than on 1080p screen?

    2) How good is temperatures with i7 model? And how bad is throttling?

    3) Does it have fully functional Thunderbolt 3? Can I use it for 4K@60 output and charging?

    4) What is the maximum supported RAM speed? I know that RAM speed can give some performance kick for iGPU, so I would like to get maximum from it.

IGZO display looks very impressive for this price!
And quiet operation also nice for me.
But I just noted very strange placement for the Power Button
I'm carrying laptop regularly in my messenger bag and I don't imagine how I can protect this button from being pressed all the time.

I carry mine to work and back every day, been on the train, planes etc etc - never caught the power button or opened my bag to find my laptop was turned on or had woken up. It's in an unusual place, but you shouldn't worry about it in the slightest!

    Hello good people!
Is it worth it to pay extra 102€ for i7 option and 89€ for QHD+ display?
Will i7 be significantly faster than i5? Almost 15% more expensive, but how much performance boost I can get?
And what is the benefits of QHD+ display over the 1080p?

    Great news! :D
And another question, can you confirm, what SCHENKER SLIM 13 have the same 1080p IGZO panel like in this Tuxedo?
    https://www.notebookcheck.net/Tuxed...-500-GB-32-GB-FHD-Laptop-Review.260362.0.html
Also, what is max RAM frequency for this model? 3000/3200Mhz RAM can give some performance kick for iGPU, but I'm not sure if this model support it.

Correct - same panels. We offer up to 2666MHz, to be honest I don't know how much difference using 3200 vs 2666 makes in Intel UHD 620. Officially the pltform supports up to 2400MHz, we fofer slightly higher - I have no testing or compatability informaton for any speeds above that.

It depends from your use cases.
With i7 you can get +600Mhz boost for short period of time.
For me it can be nice speed up in Photoshop, when opening and handling the heavy RAW/TIFF files.
Or any other situations when you can need maximal 1 core performance for shot period of time.
If you need it for longer rendering/calculation time, it's better to look at 45W CPUs.
I think the 1080p IGZO option is much better than QHD+ Pentile display, not only because of better color reproduction, but also because of Windows HiDPI support... it's just sucks...

It can be in the region of 5-10% at 1080p.

Hey how durable and reliable those laptops are? Comparing to some good brands/models - Lenovo ThinkPad T; HP Elite/ZBooks; Dell Latitudes and Precisions?

do you have infos about reliability for those brands? btw those brands you are talking about are only OEMs and they don't make laptops so each model could be really different because they usually use different ODMs

This is what has been told to me by other users who claimed that those laptop brands/models are known for durability. I've noticed that just those models cost around 30% more compared to other laptops of same brands with similar components.

Lower power machines tend to be more reliable due to lower heat/power to worry about. It has seemed reliable so far.

Hey, anyone tried to setup Windows Hello with IR camera on this beast? I've got N141wu (which is same thing basically) and windows says "device is not compatible". In device manager I've got only "Chicony usb 2.0 camera" listed, should IR camera be separate entry?

Yep, reseller states on product webpage compatibility. Its kind of hard to find it under tinted glass. I'm just wondering if it pops up in windows as a single device(meaning ccd and IRccd together) or IR is supposed to be second device. That way I'll know if there is something to fight software wise or if I should just go straight back to reseller.

Shine a flashlight on the bezel area next to the webcam. You should be able to see the IR Camera.

Does anyone know if 3200 MHz ram is supported by this model? Or is 2400MHz the hard limit? I saw this question some where in the last few pages but it isn't answered though.
    Thanks.

No XMP support so it depends if the sticks have it programmed in as SPD or XMP.

So in case there is no built-in XMP for the sticks, can I still manual set the timing in the bios for the RAMs? Or it is not possible at all?

No, it is what it is timing and speed wise. Ram is usually a cherry on top upgrade after the rest of it on the higher end systems. The lower power CPUs tend to get on just fine with 2400-2666mhz ram.

Hi. If anyone possesses the eluktronics variant of this device, could you please confirm if this ships with bootguard enabled ? I am interested in buying this if it comes with bootguard disabled. eluktronics is the only reseller with this in stock at the moment. Others have moved on to whiskey lake.

    For checking bootguard status:
    • On windows: Run meinfo and grep for bootguard in the output. meinfo, which is a legit intel tool, can be acquired from here. Search for Intel CSME System Tools v11 on the page
    • On linux: Follow the instructions at the end of the page here. Note: you should not be in kernel lockdown mode. If you are (due to secureboot for eg.), you need to lift lockdown first, either with sysrq or by disabling secureboot temporarily.
