Are you talking Guild Wars? Or Gears of War? Never heard of a Guild of War.

At any rate, always download latest patches and drivers, and run in XP compat if that fails.

That game is a little funny for me too. A few early complaints:

    1. Autorun doesn't...well..autorun. I had to manually install the game, and manually run it every time.

    2. Install process takes a loooooong time, and never asks for a destination folder. It just installs in the default folder. (Maybe this is a result of me manually starting setup?)

    3. Game froze once while I was configuring Windows Live.

    4. Game never saved after the first time I played it, and stuck with the Xbox's checkpoint save system, instead of using an easier quicksave/autosave feature that's more prominent in PC games.

However, the game runs fine in Vista, so all I can say is update drivers.

169.09 are the latest from the laptopvideo2go.com forums. You can make a shortcut by dragging a copy from the My Games folder.
