Has anyone tried installing the latest Eurocom D901C BIOS (version 1.00.17) on a Sager 9262 with 8800 cards to see if there is still downclocking?

I have this feeling deep inside that maybe, just maybe, the Eurocom BIOS installed into my Sager 9262 will cure my constant downclocking issues. However, these BIOS require a username and password to download from Eurocom's site. Would anyone who has such a username/password be able to re-deploy these BIOS to me, as I'll gladly take the punt and risk killing my laptop to try this solution. Or if anyone HAS tried it, and it doesn't work, that would be good to know too. I'm hitting rock bottom on this downclocking issue these days :(

    Thanks.

O_O' I didn't know you could get these off the clevo site, thank you very much. Also, none of those bios say anything about the update for the E0 stepping q9650 or the e8600.

Edit: looks like they also have the vga bios needed for sli cards

Where are these vga sli bios you speak of?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see what you mean. Yeah, those are the 3408 vBios. I wonder if they're any different from what shipped with the cards I already have?

The 1.00.17 BIOS from Clevo did not fix my downclocking :(

I will try the 1.00.19 BIOS later since I doubt it will change anything.

Tears of broken dreams for sure :(

I am really tempted to download and update my lappy to the newer version but I am haunted by the verse "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". :(

    >.> the updated bios is for graphics cards that you don't even have, no reason to update.

Which version are you currently running for your System BIOS? I'm curious to try it and see if it fixes my downclocking.
