So, this morning I’m happily reading “Engadget” getting my daily fix of geek speak, when I come across an announcement regarding Eurocom’s Monster 1.0.

Reading all the standard spec’s I come across one that yet again amazes me. Eurocom claims to be able to install Ivy Bridge Intel Core i7-3920XM processor in the little machine.

My question revolves around the fact that all other information regarding the W110ER/Sager NP6110 series of machines only indicates compatibility with 35 or 45 watt processors. Even Clevo’s spec’s W110ER don’t indicate 55 watt processor compatibility.

So I guess the question is, will this combination be possible or is this just more of the standard misinformation propagated by some companies?

No one has said it doesn't support it.

The thing is Eurocom is the first one to try this out... Sager hasn't offered it for some reason, and it has been on talk a while ago.

While it does support it... I would recommend against the machine won't be able to handle the temps the 3920XM spits out :p

Yeah considering the 3610qm with turbo boost at max with GPU running it can get quite toasty.
