I received the following directly from Garry Smith of Eurocom on 31 Oct

ETA release date is 10 Nov
The model being released is based upon the Clevo model P570WM (instead of the P270WM)
Though I can't find any info about the model on the Clevo Taiwan site, the French Clevo site has updates on it

    CLEVO P570WM

I called this 2 weeks ago. It was obvious Eurocom were lying about it being available on the 30th October, they just make stuff up all the time.

    French Clevo site.......

Maybe there should be a sticky about this?

Yeah Eurocom are pretty unreliable and inaccurate.

I am not sure they can be called lying, maybe guilty of wishful thinking. They are dependent upon Clevo to get the base product, so perhaps Clevo is not living up to their promised shipping dates.
BTW, when Garry emailed me the update, he already knew that I wouldn't be ordering until it was shipping so there was no real reason to give me a date unless they thought is was accurate
Good to know about those false Clevo sites

No, I wouldn't call it lying either. It's just that they've always been first to throw out dates when none of the other Clevo builders or resellers had any solid info on dates from Clevo. It may be a matter of wishful thinking but they also are irresponsible in this regard, throwing out rumored dates like they're firm dates. I'm not saying they're a bad company for other things, I don't know. I just know that they typically throw out release dates when they really don't know themselves. I think it's a deceptive tactic to get users to pre-order from them first. But whatever, it's a cutthroat world out there.

It's certainly best to only give out information when you have a more reliable date, and then still issue it with a note saying it could change. Just to avoid irritation.

Yes and it allows people to prepare for the new products coming.
Just like the "coming soon" at a movie.
But there are almost always delays of one kind or another.
Right now the ETA is Nov.10-15.

I would stick with "coming soon" until you are sure.... Prevents confusion and lets you list details.

Wait until everyone get's them (it will be at roughly the same time) and get it from a company who reliably posts here and will continue to help if you need it. ;)

Clevo site now shows the P570WM and P570WM3 on their site. So it should only be a matter of a short time before Eurocom, Sager and Pro-Star have that model available

    P570WM - CLEVO - Products
    P570WM3 - CLEVO - Products

It's been that way for a while. As we can see though, it's now Nov16 and no one has these for sale yet, contrary to Eurocom's numerous claims ranging from early weeks in October to November 15.
