I'm not trying to bad mouth Eurocom, I've had 4 laptops from them and I've always been satisfied.

I paid something like +295 to upgrade to the 4k Gsync screen and it's pretty much the worst display I've used in the last 5 years.

Here is a picture of the light bleed on a black screen http://imgur.com/a/JLceL

The light bleed is visible at almost all times. It dis-colors the task bar in the bottom right. I contacted Eurocom the day after I received the laptop to ask for a replacement. After 14 days and 3-4 more attempts to get someone to contact me I raised the issue with PayPal. This got me an immediate return call.

I was told that this type of light bleed was "normal" and that my options were to keep it or pay 25% restocking fee.

The worst part is that they seemed to have deleted my support requests where I continued to update my ticket asking for help. (Luckily I took a screenshot).

Am I asking for too much here? I've owned a lot of gaming laptops and never had any screen even close to this bad quality. I understand some light bleed might happen, but not where it covers about 30% of the entire screen.

The display bezel is too tightly affixed to the lid. Unclip it and most of the bleed will go away. Once removed, use a file or sandpaper and trim off a little of the inside part of the bezel at the areas where the bleed is most pronounced. While you have access to the lcd, also check if the backlight is properly covered by the black tape all around the edge, which ought to make sure no light strays away from the lcd itself.

I have the same notebook but with the LG 1080 IPS. What I did was I removed the bezel and loosen the screws that hold the screen in place just a tiny bit, that removed almost all light bleed.
I know this is not ideal on a +2000$ notebook but I did not have to send it back.

Nope, there are tiny screws that you will see once the bezel is off. In all 4 corners you will see them. Just loose them a tiny bit and the pressure on the IPS will be less so that the back light bleed will decrease.
@jaybee83 had a tutorial on this in his batman P750ZM thread, but I cannot find it.

I just wanted to update this thread and that Eurocom is actively working with me to obtain a replacement screen.
