    I got a sky x4c with an i7 8086k installed.
I have a question regarding undervolting and throttlestop.
Is it possible to set the undervolting values just temporary so if i hit a value thats to low i just turn off the maschine turn it on again and bios defaults are loaded? Or only as soon as i start throttlestop?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

you can safely undervolt with throttlestop with "ok do not save voltages".

Thats how its set by default iirc, even if you somehow screwed up and saved the settings you can still delete the configuration file and it will start up as if it was the first time prompting the warning to use HWinfo for detailed information etc etc

Thanks a lot for the help. Does anyone want the results for comparison to the 8700k?

Every chip is different, it's the same silicon so it will just be down to binning.

We usually start @ -65, and work up from there, usually -100 is great, but -125 can get flaky

Your stock voltage also has an impact, if it's already low then pushing it down further will be more difficult.

Thanks for the advice, i checked linux and mac os, they had a +25mv offset compared to windows.
Im now at - 205 mv and prime95 is still stable on avx with full stock turbo, ive set it now in the bios and now the sky x4c is completly silent till reaching a 65 watt tdp which is really good. but compared to haswell its pretty bad i had there an -265mv stable undervolt and that was what most people had thats why i wondered.

Test in lighter workloads too as avx will limit your top frequency.

Also idle as the idle voltages can botton out.
