Ok so I'm encountering even more problems with my NP2096. I recently went to the computer people at my college to get my wireless set up. They put in their CD (A very safe CD that's distributed to everyone) to get the wireless thing set up. With the CD left in the computer, he restarted it, and this time, there was always something running in the background (the circle thing next to the pointer arrow was always there[talking about Win Vista]). They could not get the wireless set up because there was a problem with their signal at that time.
Then, I took the CD out, and the circle thing indicating something is running in the background was still there. I tried to shut down the computer, and it wouldn't respond. Then the arrow pointer went away and only the circle thing was there (meaning it's busy). THen it said that windows explorer was not running properly or something and that it had to close. I closed it, and it automatically opened back up again (vista does this automatically). I had already selected shut down already before this happened. THen it happened again, and it took longer than normal to shut down this time.
There was also this other time before this when Oblivion stopped running correctly and I had to shut down and it took longer than normal to shut down.
I asked the computer guy if there was a virus on my computer and he said there might be one on the computer. That can't be possible because I haven't even connected to the internet. I've only installed winrar, poweriso, firefox3, and oblivion.
Note, this is the second time windows explorer has had a random error and had to close. Is this something with Vista or is it that the NP2096 isn't built right? Or is it a virus?
I documented my first errors with the NP2096 in this topic:

How did you get those programs without a connection to the internet?

I transferred them through an external HD, which is also brand new

The computer you put the files on from might have been infected with a virus that got passed on to the HDD. I'm not saying a virus is definitely the cause, just that it's a possibility.
