    Hello everyone,

I have been getting an error on my EVOC Clevo P870TM1 when starting the laptop where I get a prompt at the BIOS saying it does not detect a USB keyboard and I have to press F1 each time to continue.

This only started happening after I connected my Corair keyboard to it and when its not plugged in on boot.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting the bios to default settings?

What about removing the CMOS battery temporarily to reset things?

I have not done this and would rather not to be honest.

It may resolve the issue but does not mean the problem wont happen again. And then I am forced to remove the CMOS battery each time to get rid of the error?

To perform a CMOS reset follow the steps below:
    1) Turn your laptop off and wait 1 minute for the contents of the RAM to be erased.
    2) Hold down the Power button + FN + D all at the same time until a blue options screen shows up
    3) Follow the on screen instructions

This will not work with a laptop that has a Prema bios installed.

You can also try reflashing the bios and EC.

    1) you also need to remove the power cable

    2) He has an EVOC P870TM1, thus, it means it has the Prema BIOS!

@Prema might be able to chime in if he's seeing this.

Or they can get support from them too.
