    Hello,
I'm having an issue getting my laptop to turn on after 1-2+ hours of being off. The problem started happening about a week ago. I contacted HIDEvolution and they want me to send my laptop in. I would like to, but as a last resort. I had somebody on there technical support team help me get my bios updated, seeing if that would fix the problem, but it didn't. If anybody has any ideas, please share them with me. Also if anybody has any questions I'll answer them the best I can and also, I would post some more info but frankly I'm not even sure what I should post because I have absolutely no idea whats causing the issue. Thanks.

Can you describe it more clearly?

HID RMAing is pretty smooth so far for me. I don't think it'll be all that painful. If they can fix it it'll be quick, otherwise they'll send it to the maker like anyone else would.

@Galm So first of all I use my laptop everyday for school or playing games or whatever else. I'm pretty consistent with what I do everyday, I don't remember doing anything different the day before this started (about a week ago). So the night before I was using my laptop and shut it down like always, same thing I do every night. The next morning a little after I woke up, I tried to turn my laptop on and it wouldn't turn on. Didn't get why this was happening. So I looked online at some posts around the web (for ideas on how to possibly fix this) and found out how to discharge the power from my laptop. So I took the bottom cover off and unplugged the battery, held down the power button for 15 or so seconds and plugged the battery back in and then I tried to turn the laptop back on and it worked after that. I have found that when my laptop is off for 1-2+ hours, closed, and not in use, I can't seem to turn it back on unless I do the fix I stated above. But it gets weird, for example today I tried to my laptop on when I got to school, and just like everyday I press the power button first, but for some reason my laptop turned on.. though when I got back home later to go onto it again, I had to take the bottom cover and do all that stuff again because it wouldn't turn on. Really I'm just hoping for some insight on what could possibly be wrong. Like if it was a driver issue or something else like that it would be pointless to send the laptop. If I can't get any possible things that could be wrong, I'll just end up RMAing it with HID.

Sounds kinda like the battery is toast. Can you make it boot if you don't have the battery in but plug it in?

@Glam Oh yea forgot about that, I've found that I can get it to turn on without the battery in but if for say I have the battery unplugged all day and then turn it off like usual, I still get the same issue.

Do you shut it down completely or just close the lid?

And by "turn on", do you mean that there is zero activity - no lights, no fans, etc.? Or do you get that much, but no display?

@estens I turn the Laptop off completely
@Prostar Computer So when I have the Laptop plugged in I can see lights but the fans don't turn on, so when I press the power button nothing happens the screen just stays black. When the power adapter is not plugged in, I don't have any active lights/fans are not on.
@bruno.uy My power settings are below

This morning I went to turn the Laptop on and it didn't turn on, like usual, but then for some reason I unplugged my mouse and decided to press the power button and it turned right on with no problem.

Also can you check my power plan and see if some of my settings are maybe affecting it in some way. Link: http://imgur.com/a/298FR

I meant that you try sleep and hibernate through the windows start menu.

I've never used those options. I just shut down my Laptop when I'm done using it.

Try it to see if you can reproduce the problem.

Ok, the I have no clue. I had a problem with a ram stick once that kept the pc from waking from hibernation.
But if you completely shut it down I don't think that is your issue

What happens if you hold down the power button for a few seconds?
