Any thoughts/opinions on whether this kind of a purchase is required:

    Coolerguys Rear Exhaust Blower
Amazon.com: Coolerguys 120x25mm Rear Exhaust Blower Fan 5 Volt with USB Connector: Computers & Accessories

    Vacuum Cooler
Amazon.com: ECOMGEAR(TM) Mini protoble Vacuum USB Case Cooler Cooling Fan Notebook Laptop+ABEL Cable Tie: Computers & Accessories

I have a Sager NP9170 with the 7970M which runs quite hot when gaming. The in-built fan seems to be blowing out hot air quite fast though, so I was wondering if anyone on this forum has had any experience in getting one of these products or something similar to help in the cooling.

Unrelated, also thinking about placing an order for the Cooler Master NotePal U2
Amazon.com: Cooler Master NotePal U2 Laptop Cooling Pad with Two Configurable 80mm Fans (R9-NBC-8PBK-GP): Electronics

Seems quite useful. Any recommendations on laptop cooling fans/alternate solutions?

The Coolerguys Rear Exhaust Blower looks just like one of the internal fans, and the other cooling fan could I suppose be fixed to the rear vents, but a proper notebook cooler like the U2 would be a better option. The air is pulled into the base and out of the back, so increasing the ventilation underneath couldn't hurt.
Everything cooling related is discussed in the cooling thread ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/676272-clevo-p150-p170-cooling-systems-neglected-clevo-solutions-here.html ), but as long as you clean out the dust regularly, your paste job is decent, and you don't block the vents, the cooling should be sufficient. Some of the mods, especially the tape mod in my case, will help lower the temps further. It will get hot under load anyway, just monitor it so it's within acceptable limits.
