On boot-up of my D901C I occassionally receive an extended memory error. It occurs after the POST RAM test [which my machine always passes], but before Windows starts loading. I believe it is on the screen where the various devices are listed. This only happens less than 10% of the time.

When this happens I get the options to either enter BIOS Setup or Continue. And when I choose to continue, there are no more apparent problems. So, this seems to be a relatively minor, non-fatal error. I should have written down the exact verbiage, but it is something like "Extended Memory Failed at Line 22".

Question: is this a RAM issue or something else? Should I run a test like memtest86?

    Thanks for any advice!
