So i am trying to connect an external display to my laptop. Well my external display monitor says its out of range. Well i tried the settings and accidentally changed them so the desktop will show up on the externals screen. But the external cant display it because "its out of range". Can anyone help me? I may be using this for some presentations for school. Try to look professional you know? Thanks for any help.

Hi mc511,
As a first step try reducing the settings on the internal to the lowest possible try again. Fi you get a signal look at what the max resolution for the external monitor is and set it to that and you should be ok. Also verify you have the latest driver for your graphics card. -
Hi alexka.
Oh okay so set my laptops screen for a 800x600 res? Okay will try that.
EDIT
Yeah that didnt work. It still says out of range. Lol this is an interesting problem. -
Did your external monitor have a driver disk? Do you have latest nvidia drivers, also check the laptop refresh rate and set it to lowest as well
