I am thinking about combine the desktop class processor with high end graphics like 980ti or Furry X. Is it possible to use some high end external graphic cards on the latest Clevo laptops?

Sager support said NO, but I don't really believe in them.

Currently no. There's no officially licensed TB3 eGPU enclosures. Once they become available then any TB3 laptop should be capable.

They probably said no because there isn't anything available yet.

The manfs seems to favor proprietary solution. and intel will hunt down whoever not paying their lincense fee.

Ya right now there's really only one laptop that supports it and that's through a PCIe x16 lane on the bottom of it that hooks up to a dock, be interesting to see what people do with all the new tech as it becomes "dated"

I know companies are waiting for Intel's "monopoly rape" class chipsets for low end and mainstreams to come out. If there are a lot of USB3.1/TB3 available, then there will be official TB3 graphic docks. At present only some TB1, TB2, mac versions. There is still not a lot of info on server level chipsets.

Yeah, hopefully as TB3 becomes more widely available, then we will start to see some eGPUs come out. It is still a new feature and not widely spread yet. I'm still optimistic to see what might be coming out in the future, but yes, as of right now there isn't anything that is really available.
