Since the Owners' Lounge is a bit on the dead side, I thought I may get better luck by starting a new thread for my question.

I keep finding varying answers everywhere and wanted to see if I can get a clear answer. Can the P375SM run 4k at 60Hz or 1440p at 144Hz over the miniDP/Thunderbolt port?

If someone has experience please share it and if it functions, I would love to get a cable recommendation.

No fancy cable will help it's down to the chip which in this case is the first generation thunderbolt chip which is limited in its bandwidth. I believe those resolutions are too much.

Ouch so I am basically limited by 1st Gen thunderbolt bandwidth and not DP 1.2 bandwidth? What about compatibility ?

I honestly thought since the machine is from 2013 and CLEVO claims DP 1.2 support, then it would be L5520 or L5320 chip with 20 Gbits/s bandwidth.

Can't you take it to a shop and ask to test a unit you are thinking of buying?

Yes, you got a thunderbolt 2 port and once you plug in a display you basicially have a DP 1.2 connection which has a bandwitdh of 17.28GBP/S, you only need around 12GBPS for 4k 60fps.
So all 4k 60fps, 1440p @ 144hz, 1080p @ 240hz signalres are supported. but ONLY via the DP, not HDMI.
