To make it short, I received my 9150 w/ 680m GTX yesterday and hooked in upto my BenQ XL2420TX, to my dismay I noticed that the monitor was locked at 60hz (made it primary monitor, and also turned off the notebook screen and made it only show desktop on the external monitor.). However no matter what I do I can't seem to access 120hz, so I was wondering if anyone in nbr has managed to access 120hz and if so how did you do it? Which cables did you use?

Also I was wondering if anyone has managed to play 3D on the 680m GTX, I can't seem to access it on the nvidia control pannel no matter which driver I use (stock and 301.79).

3d in full hd is only possible with a DVI cable, not HDMI.

If I'm not mistaken, Optimus excludes the possibility of 3D.

Should only exclude it internally. Should be able to output 3D all day long with dvi

Got a Display port cable and managed to fix the 120hz problem and I'm pretty sure 3D's possible as long as you can achieve 120hz no?

Well the problem now is that I can't access the nvidia 3D stereoscopic installer, for some reason its locked. I'm just wondering if this could be resolved by a future driver. Has anyone with a 680m gotten access to it? The option should be there no matter what regardless of what your using but it doesn't seem to be there for me.

Dual DVI or Display port, nothing else on does 120Hz 1080P. If it isn't a Nvida 3D certified monitor you need to use a modded monitor inf. Also the Nvidia driver needs support for that card. Try the latest 304.79

Yeah it was my mistake at first I assumed hdmi would work because BenQ advertised this monitor to be able to run at 1080p 120hz with hdmi but it seems to not work. Also I have all the necessary 3D components such as glass, monitor and IR emitter its just I need the software.

Currently stock and 304.79 doesn't support 3D so unless I can get my hands on a modded driver that can support 3D or nVidia releases official or beta drivers for the 680m its impossible to play in 3D.

I am having the same problem, a 680m, a Hz display hooked up over Displayport so really running at 120Hz and no way to enable 3d vision on a driver level. I feel like there must be some way to trick the driver into installing or enabling this feature.
