    Hey guys I have an 8760 with the 5870 and a 920xm I want to turn the fans on high and the FN+1 does not work does anyone know why or what I might do to fix this. Thanks.

    I don't think the 8170 comes equipped with the 5870 and the 920xm. Are you sure you're not talking about a different model? Who's your reseller?

    i had an 8690 and afaik those models dont support the fn+1 fan key
