I just bought a Sager np8760 and when I try to connect to my TV or any high def tv or monitor for that matter I get the same thing - "Fail to enable HDCP. Please switch to analog output (VGA, D-Sub) and try again - (error code = 0107) Please run the BD/HD advisor tool for more information." I really don't understand why other than I need a different program to play blu-ray on my TV. I've tried two seperate high def tvs a Sony WEGA 1080i and my Samsung 52" 1080p and an asus 1080p monitor. Tried 2 seperate blu-rays and even two different HDMI cables. Any thoughts?

Try Googling HDCP and error code = 0107. There are a load of forums with people having this same problem. Lots of ideas on the subject.

Which set of graphics drivers are you running? I've read that non-WHQL drivers will cause the HDCP link to fail.

Well I'm currently running the one that came on dvd/cd with it because when I go to Nvidia and download and attempt to install the drivers dated on 12-04, it says "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit." LOL I know I'm trying the right one, I've double and triple checked it. The version is 195.62 for gtx 280m in Win 7 64bit.

So, I then went on over to Clevo and tried to find a driver maybe an older one and I came up with a different version dated 11-30. But when I try to extract, Winrar says it's corrupt! LOL sigh. I've googled it and I'm almost sure it's some kind of driver issue.

I read something when I googled it about opening the NVidia Control Panel there is a setting where you can view HDCP status and it's not supported when you "clone" or use both monitors simultaneously. But when I use my Samsung only and go into it it shows that it's supported and enabled but I still get the HDCP error when I try to play blu-ray on it. There's got to be something I'm missing.

I found someone uploaded a modded driver for blu-ray playback in the owner's lounge, I'm gonna try that and see what happens.

Have you tried to connect to your tv input and have your laptop on prior to turning your tv on? I have that same issue with my cable box where if it is off prior to switching the tv on it will give me an HDCP not supported error. I know it is different hardware etc. but it might be worth a shot. I still don't have my 8760 so I haven't been able to try it.

Yea, I tried that. Hell, I even tried the modified driver that was posted in the owner's lounge. It appears that I cannot watch blu-ray on ANY display via HDMI. I honestly cannot believe that ANY notebook manufacturer can market a product with an HDMI port since obciously none of them work because if a graphics card in a $2200 notebook don't what means any others would... Total bull.
