I posted the same thread a while ago, but it mysteriously vanished.

I hear this faint but annoying beep-like feedback while or after playing a sound or video. This problem persisted when I moved from xp home to 7 professional. I have installed most recent drivers. I use earbuds and switched to different ones, but they made no difference.

I tried to install intel matrix storage driver too, but it keeps saying my system does not meet the minimum requirements. (same thing happened in xp.)
