    hi,

I have searched around but is there a step by step guide on how to clean out the fans of the D901C with photos?

I have quite a bit of dust on it....

on a side note, my Toshiba M30 notebook is having many many BSOD's lately
it doesnt feel overheated so maybe a memory problem? I will run a memory check tomorrow. Any other solutions on how to find out what causing them?

Probably the easiest thing you'll do on a computer in you life.
Unscrew all the screws (like 8) that sorround the CPU,GPU bay with the fans on it. You CAN then use like a Q-tip to clean them. But if you rele wanna get everything (heatsink and all), theres only 3 screws holding each fan down. Unscrew those, pull out the fans (u can do this without unplugging them) then get inside the fans as well as the inside grill of the heatsink, which is where all the dust collects. good luck, you wont need it tho, just keep track of all the small screws.

    thanks for the reply,

I did contact eurocom and they suggested I just blow compressed air into the vents at the rear of the 901C and the dust would come out of the fans..
They said it would be safe because that part is isolated from the rest of the chasis..

is this what most people do or do they actually remove the bottom cover and unscrew the fan and they clean it from there?

    thanks
