    Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone can help. I'm trying to find a way to control the fans on my new P650SG as the fans are turning on max when playing a game, despite it not being very hot. Hotkey doesn't work unfortunately and I can't find any other tools that'll allow me to change fan speed.

Any ideas anyone? Hopefully you can help!

    Thanks

    Hi Kesteral,

That could be your EC firmware; perhaps it needs reflashed. What kind of temps are you seeing?

There is not much control over the fans with the hot keys apart from setting them to max speed.

There isn't nearly the options that a desktop would have to be able to controls the fan speeds unfortunately. I would agree to check EC and see if that helps though. Otherwise, it isn't a great option, but I game with headphones on so I don't really notice the fan noise from my laptop.

Pretty much anything to do with fan issues to me sounds like it's the EC as that's usually what controls that. Pehaps you could look into flashing Prema's BIOS and see if that fixes it?
