I'm using the Obsidian fan controller on my P775TM1 with the unified heatsink and using the "synch fans to hotest value" setting seems to make the most sense to me.

Running both fans at the speed of the fastest fan does not make that much noise while it does make a difference to the temperatures, as the hotest processor benefits from the additional cooling.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Extra cooling certainly wont hurt :) Also it means you don't have fans producing a different tone which can get annoying.
