I'm looking for a tool that can control and or monitor fan speed, temperature, etc.

I need a light tool that doesnt take much memory or cpu.

    (For clevo m570ru)

    Thanks

    note: speedfan doesnt work.

The ACPI of the M570RU doesn´t provide any control feature or RPM signal(so far).

On the temperature side, you have an thermal diode on the board wich provides CPU temperature, two thermal diodes inside the CPU(one on each core), one thermal diode on the GPU and on you hard drive if it haves.

    Just download HWMonitor(free).

It´s very simple(doesn´t require any instalation process, just an .exe), light on resources and complete.

But isnt there a way to see fan speed? Not necessarily control them, but just see what speed they are running at?

Nop, the ACPI system on the M570RU doesn´t provide any RPM signal. There is no other way...

can you use this program on the d901c to set the fans to start at certian thermal zones? (temps) so you can tailor your fans to operate how you want?

like my m1710 i tailored the fan control software to always blow fans at certian temps so it kept it very cool and idled at 48 degrees c
