Hi everyone, here are my specs.
Sager 9150
3820qm
GTX670m
I am having problems with my fans. Lets start with the GPU since its the most problematic.
Here is one scenario, I am playing Diablo 3 and I exit the game. My GPU fan stays at high rpm and doesnt spin down at all, its still going full blast even though I am just idling at the desktop, and it will keep going at full blast until I do the following. I run GPU-z and the fan spins down and is completely silent. I can see that it is very cool(30c), so the fan isnt running because the card is still hot. I can also get the fan to spin down by opening nvidia control panel. Now it just gets even more annoying. If my GPU fan is off, or is really silent, sometimes when I run GPU-z, or open Nvidia control panel the fan will start spinning full blast... I will have to open and close GPU-z a few times to get it to go back down from full blast. Its unbelievable.
The CPU fan does something similar, where the fan never goes completely silent once it has to rev up. So say I turn my 9150 on and let it sit idle for a while. The CPU fan will be completely silent the whole time. However once I run something, the fan will spin up, and then spin down a bit, but never goes back to the silent mode it was when I first started it up.
This is incredibly frustrating, the fans are loud and this laptop is for school, I will be using it in class every day... I cant have my GPU fan going off full blast randomly.
I have tried every driver I could find. I tried the ones from sagernotebooks, clevo, and nvidia, as well as the ones on the cd.
The only thing I have not tried is reinstalling windows.
Does anyone else have fan problems? or more specific gtx670m fan problems? Does anyone know what driver controls the fans? or is it the BIOS only?
I love this laptop, but I dont want to have to run GPU-z to get the fan to spin down, how are they even related????? *Facepalm*

I think every p150em user has this.. I actually noticed this issue too after playing diablo 3.
Clevo really need to fix this and there are no drivers. it's fully controlled by the bios at this moment.
I am pretty sure Clevo will fix this in a bios update in the future. If they don't than I pretty sure they will get a thousands of hate mail. -
