Faster delivery of a Clevo from Sager than Xotic PC ?

I know that many people over at the Xotic PC forums sometimes wait weeks to get their Clevo notebooks.

That does not appeal to me.

I just noticed that Sager has this option: Rush Order Service - Guaranteed shipping within 2 business days of your order (not including day of order),
while Xotic PC has this option: Rush Build (Ships in 1-4 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed) (Subject to Parts Availability).

Notice that Sager does not qualify their rush service with the phrase "subject to parts availability".

It seems logical that Sager could fulfill a Clevo order faster than Xotic PC given that Sager focuses only on Clevo notebooks while Xotic PC does not focus on one brand of notebook.

So am I right to believe that Sager is a better choice for a Clevo notebook in the time it takes to fulfill an order?
    Thanks.

All XoticPC does and other resellers is place the order through Sager directly. But the reseller offers the customer service for before and after sales and warranty support. But they all go through Sager. You can order direct from Sager but then you have to deal directly with Sager yourself if you have any issues or questions and it isn't always a pleasant experience.

Any place you order from will be subject to parts availability. Even if Sager's site does not specifically state so they wont be able to build a computer if a part is out of stock.
As HTWingNut mentioned all Sager resellers place the order through Sager, if they happen to be out of something then you'll have the same wait no matter where you order from. We've just decided to add "Subject to Parts Availability" to our description.

Just seconding what HTWingNut and Hutsady (would that make it "thirding", then? :p) said: Even though we don't resell Sager, it's the same stipulation for us and anywhere else you go. All turnaround time is subject to availability.

If you are buying a new laptop, I'd recommend going through a reseller as they tend to have much better warranties and ratings than Sager.

Not to be rude, but waiting the extra few days won't kill you and could save you some huge headaches and time over the long run.

It would be a little lack luster of a reseller to just ship you the box too, they should be testing the system and validating under their procedures to make sure you get a perfect product.

I love how every reseller is in here, its nice that customer service reps are able to answer questions like this on a forum!

In all honesty if you are scared of time to get it pay for rush order. I did.. What's another $39 on an already $1400+ bill...
Also call or email and ask about parts availability.

We do try to list any parts that are back ordered that way but sometimes cant get it updated right away. If there are any parts you're curious about feel free to PM me, or you can check sagers site direclty as they will have any back ordered parts posted as so too.

I have never seen a part marked back ordered on either site. Can you provide examples, or tell me how to find them?

Its because they are rarely back ordered and nothing currently is. You cant see it right now but the NP9380 3D 120hz screen was on back order recently and after that option it said (Backordered ETA Sept 3rd). When something is back ordered they will list it right after the option.
