My Configuration only Add GTX675M. Appreciate everyone who can share your experience!!

    1.
Do i need add IC Diamond ? Since Sager has two fan and i have my own Cooler pad. How much Census degree you guys have when playing big game with IC Diamond or not?

    2.
Is necessary to buy dead pixel insurance? Xoticpc is 60 days, LPC is 30 days, but same price. Is the screen with insurance tend to more perfect than one doesn't ?

    3.
Do i need to upgrade my Warranty to 2 years? can i trust the quality of NP9170?

I'm a student who don't have much budget, but if your guys think it is necessary, i would consider!

    thanks !!

    1. IC isn't necessary as far as i can tell, but it can help with temps
ppl say it is better to buy it and install it yourself if you can it saves you some cash since you're on a budget.

2.i heard you better get it since it doesn't cost too much and saves you trouble if you end up with dead pixels.

3.i don't have a clevo/sager but looking thru reviews and such they seem to be very reliable also i heard laptops start failing after the 3rd year or so but my dell is in its 3rd now and its working like a champ ;)
but personally whenever i have a problem i just try to solve it myself or take it to some local pc repair shop so no need for a long warranty imho.

    4.sorry i didn't replay sooner i just wasn't sure if my replay is useful since i don't own a sager :) (YET!!)

You should always change your stock paste as it will reduce ur core temp by at least 2 degrees ( lower temp, longer lifespan )
Buying dead pixel warranty is a personal preference, if you have the cash I would say go for it.
Tbh I would never upgrade warranty to 2 years. From personal experience, if the device doesn't break down within the first month it will continue working for the next 3-4 years.

The IC Diamond paste job is $35 if you get them to do it. You can do it for the price of a tube (less than $10) by yourself. It's extremely easy to do, and there is a thread with pictures: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...e-guide-upgrading-thermal-paste-your-own.html

My recommendation is to keep the stock paste for now. If you find your temperatures are too high, there are plenty of cooling mods you can do if you browse the forum. If it is still too high, then you can repaste if you want.

Pretty much all of your questions can be answered with "It's up to you." Having them add the thermal paste will probably lower your temps but you can always do that yourself as well. If you have the $$$ go for the warranty for peace of mind (if it really bugs you); I personally usually pass on warranties and have yet to have a problem. (Hope I didn't just jinx myself!)

Warranty isn't totally worth it IMO, unless you just want that peace of mind as others have said. Thermal paste is easy for even the least technical people around so I'd save the $30 and apply it yourself if necessary.

I opted not to get the dead pixel insurance because the standard insurance already guarantees no dead pixels in the central screen area and no more than 5 total (theres 1.5 million pixels in the Sager screens). Plus, there are free dead/stuck pixel removers you can download that usually do the job.

Could you name one or two? If they do exist then I won't bother paying extra for the dead pixel thing either.
