Hi, i would like to buy this laptop:

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit SB DVD englisch
Microsoft Office 2010 Starter (nur bei Bestellung und Vorinstallation von Windows 7)
Backlit Keyboard U.S. International
But i have few questions about it..
1) Is screen 95% NTSC gamut?
2) Glare/Non-Glare means Glossy/Matte?
3) Can you explain for me please guarantee? For parts 24months and labor 48months?
-
1.) Screens are standart 60% Gamut, no option for anything higher
2.) Yes, thats what it means.
3.) Something like that. Generally, after 24 months, you would want a new laptop...so doesent make sense to want more. -
Ok then one more question:
This laptop can't have better Gamut screen at all or its just a matter of reseller?
I think i saw some US resellers selling p150hm with 95% gamut screens. -
The P150HM is the XMG P501.
The P150EM is the XMG P502.
Both support and can easily be installed with a Gamut screen, mySN.de just does not offer that particular option -
Well thats really sad.. hint for mySN (get some better screens because you lose clients like me for this..) gotta search for other european reseller that also has good customer support.
-
although you might ask them if they can do something about it
-
Zett, this is why I am going to order my P170EM from US resellers. Its a matter of time now, really. Waiting for AMD7970M and Ivy.
If we calculate the price difference, it might be cheaper to order from US. Depends if we have to pay VAT or not. Prices in the EU are at the same NUMBER as the US, but its in EURO instead of dollars.
So it might be cheaper. When the time comes, Im gonna PM the resellers one by one. I suggest you do the same -
Well i dont like amd gpu, so ill get best nvidia, as for ivy, i read that p150em/hm cant use ivy cpu in future and i dont want 17" notebook. That setup above is kinda perfect for me, only problem is 60gamut screen (booooo).
As for US resellers, there are few problems.. first one is VAT, which u will have to pay once you receive notebook and the other one - if u happen to need to send ur notebook for repair or upgrade, u will have to pay quite a lot for delivery. -
Im not sure if I need to pay VAT when I get it with a company receipt. Gotta have to check this. If the VAT is out of this, then the price will be good.
When I purchase laptops from EU resellers, I dont pay VAT, since Im buying it for personal use and not selling it. Also, you owe VAT only to your country, not the resellers country.
I need to check how things are in the customs. Since the package arrives at the customs and maybe they will charge something. Gotta check it out... -

wont do that mistake again, thats for sure....
cheers -
Thanks jaybee83! Are you from Germany? My german is well above average, we can communicate in german if you want.
So, besides VAT (Mwst.), what else did you have to pay? How much was shipping? Did you pay the US VAT when you bought it? (I understand there is 5-9% VAT in the US, did you have to pay that when you ordered the laptop from the reseller?) -
Usually when you import to the EU you have to pay the import tax (which is in fact the actual EU countries specific VAT - Ger 19% Aut 20%) + a small customs fee.
The import tax applies to total price (unit price + shipping costs) and customs use the actual currency exchange rate - so it could be different to the one when you order the item.
At least in case with the shipment is everything ok (shipping/customs documents)
Thats more or less the cost side. Time is another thing. Could take some time to get things through customs when documents are missing.
Oh, and when the price is below aprox. 22€ import is free.
US don't actually have a VAT, they have a sales tax which is actually quite different in the way how you add it up to the final product throughout the production process.
But the more important part: sales tax shouldn't apply to export, but ok a VAT also wouldn't apply -
+rep, thanks macuill that cleared the stuff for me.
And now...Im p.i.s.s.e.d. I hate taxes...they make everybody's life miserable. -
not miserable... just more expensive

Few questions for mySN.de
