Figure out the issue of my computer...

Recently when I play overwatch and after playing for quite a while. My PC shuts down immediately, no BSOD, no prompt of any kind just plain shutdown. I turned back my PC on as if nothing happened.

the event viewer states:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Since it looked like a lost power, I noticed immediatly that my battery icon shows that the A/C is disconnected. I looked at my A/C Adapter and notice that the lights are off. I reconnected the Adapter to the outlet and the power is back on again.

I tried multiple games and had no issues but when I play a game like overwatch it will eventually shut down after 30 minutes or so. High Workload?

I'm wondering is this an A/C issue? Battery? What should I do find out which is the culprit?

 

Repaste? Did you try it? Most likely its temperatures...

 

Your saying I should replace the thermal compound on my CPU and GPU?

 

Your brick may be getting unable to supply its normal power.

 

Guess I gotta replace the AC Adapter...

Sorry for the long response. So I took joluke's suggestion and decided to repaste my CPU/GPU. Tested it by trying out variety of games. So far it seems fine. I had temperatures around 80 degrees Celsius on some high performing games and so on as well as trying out overwatch for more than an hour and so far nothing bad happened. Been doing this for days now with no problems. To be clear about earlier, my problem occurred even with temperatures like 70+ Degrees Celsius. Now it performs as it should. Maybe Joluke was right, I guess repasting it fixed the issue.

 

Nvidia do report an average for core temperature and VRMs not making proper contact can cause issues. This is something a repaste and re-seat can help.
