That my be the case for some Sager resellers, but Malibal sent me a quote via PM that had a configuration with the 6990M and the 120Hz matte panel. So I can confirm that Mythlogic is not the only option.

I will be making a full review (with pics and video) on the 120hz 3D screen when I get it... ^^; I placed my order at MALIBAL on the 9/9/2011 but It seems they are unable to fulfill these up to date...

First ask them if they have those screens in stock ;)

The lack of backlit keyboard was also a big issue to me, so I ordered a Logitech K800 Backlit-Wireless Full keyboard and I got it last week, I have to say it looks and feels pretty nice =) so that's an option of you truly use the backlit feature like I do.

I'll second that. I have been using the K800 keyboard for a while and really love it. I like connecting my notebook to my 52" TV and sitting back on the couch with the wireless mouse (Logitech Performance MX in my case) and backlit wireless keyboard and watching videos, gaming, or sharing content with others on the big screen.

It's been suggested in other threads in this forum that it's not a matter of incompatibility, but that Sager is restricting the 120hz screen to Nvidia GPUs - so anybody just reselling Sager products have a limitation. Anyone who actually build the systems themselves can assemble it as they wish. Others have stated they have ordered the 6990m with the 120hz screen.

^^ Correct. That said no one that I've seen has received one yet. When I get mine I'll confirm that the refresh works and if I can get a 3D Blu-ray to work.

I'm pretty sure if the display works then the refresh will work because refresh rates are a property of the screen itself, not of the graphics card. But I'm not sure if the output signal of the amd card would be 120 hz though I don't see why not.

Keep me posted. I would order from mythlogic just because of this, however the cost of that config is beyond my budget. I would have to order from malibal but it doesn't seem like they do the 6990 with the 3d screen. I PM'd them about it though.

Myth was cheaper (or as cheap) as Malibal when I priced it. Remember that Myth doesn't show the cash price up front like Malibal does, so take that discount into account if you are paying with cash.
