I'm pretty sure it's generally better for performance if all of your RAM is clocked at the same speed, also consider the Crucial M4 256GB SSD.

Are you sure about that GTX 675M? You are already at your max budget?

Actually, even the gimped 7970M is still much better than the 675M. This card is old news. The 7970M is just a few bucks more.

Anyway, Hellhog, you just paid for a faster Corsair RAM that will just downclock to 1333 MHz because of your 1333 MHz downgrade, so either upgrade your RAM back to 1600 MHz at Xotic, or cancel the Corsair and get a cheaper 1333 Mhz RAM stick (if it's indeed cheaper).

Other than that - you're good to go, and congrats on your order! :)

Congrats on your order! Its usually recommended to keep the same speeds RAM for all the sticks. If you remove the RAM sticks that will come in there you can install the ones you have from Amazon. I imagine you did so to take advantage of the sale for the 1333mhz and get the Corsair in there instead.

The 675M is a solid card.. but not in our era

I would pick the 7970M if I were you, most definitely, the problem should be fixed at some point.
    - Although the problem is STILL not having a negative impact on the gaming as such it's much stronger than the 675M

Nice! I ordered a very similar setup almost a week ago, the NP9150. Luckily i saved a lot of money by getting Windows 7 Ultimate through my school from $15 and Microsoft Office Pro for the same, congrats on the purchase!

I probably should have mentioned, I won't be using the stock RAM. I will be replacing that RAM with the Corsair. I don't want to deal with the 7970M. I want to go green not red this time around. And, I am match budget this with this. So no room for anymore.

The stock ram that ships with your laptop will be under the keyboard, and not as easily accessible as the the modules under the laptop.

If your not going to use the stock ram, it might be worth it to ask sager to install them in the 2ndary bay so you can replace them easier. Or try asking them to ship it w/o the ram.

I still managed to replace the ram under the keyboard though I had to be careful... it took about 6 minutes.

Careful because the keyboard has two connector cables that attach to the mobo, if your not careful you might rip them. Its important to note that you only need to move the keyboard towards your screen slightly to replace the ram.

Nice setup, but I share consensus here about the 7970m. Get it. It's not like your machine will fail or anything. It's just a few games it doesn't perform optimally, but still better than the 675m. Obviously the choice is yours, but thought I'd add another vote in the pool. And definitely take kismat's advice, as I was going to mention the same thing. The stock RAM is not the easiest to access, but still not a big deal. Basically have to remove the speaker panel above the keyboard and then remove 5 screws for the keyboard, pull it up, remove the two ribbon cables attached to the keyboard, and remove then reinstall the new RAM. But most Sager resellers will put in a special order for you to have the RAM removed or installed in the bottom two bays as suggested, just may delay your order by a couple days. Plus if you get it removed they'll likely drop the price $25-30.

I did request during my original order for them to put the ram in the 2 bays under the panel, not keyboard. Also, it was cheaper to go with a ram downgrade than the whole removal. They sent me an updated bill but it didn't apply my other request of removing the HDD completely. So I've emailed them back and waiting on that which I've been told will save me $50. I am getting free shipping and using the cash discount.
